Whilst travelling, I had severe diarrhea. I lost about 5 kg of weight in around 36 hours and submitted myself to hospital. They placed me on a drip, gave me some medication and did some initial tests. They said that I would need to come back in a few days and have a colonoscopy and endoscopy, to determine what the problem was. World Nomads policies cannot cover claims due to Pre-Existing Medical Conditions (PEMC), regardless of whether the condition is serious or not (this includes if you're on separate or joint policies). You can still purchase a World Nomads policy, but the PEMC exclusion is not removable.
